How Long does Fame Last? 

I'm not talking about the film nor the series.

I was just watching a short documentary (between films) about Britney Spears, N*Sync, Mandy Moore and the like, and throughout the show I thought about how long their status as being famous could possibly last. It's strictly politically incorrect to say this, but let's face it - if they'd been ugly they wouldn't have had this kind of success. Of course their management and just about everyone else in the entertainment business know this, and milk their potential for makin' a buck to the last drop. I just hope these youngsters don't get too used to being rich and famous and having a lifestyle that requires a budget the size of a third world nation's, because their good looks will fade and they'll be left with nothing but memories. Of course, the statistics say instantly famous people are much more prone to falling victim of drug abuse and depression, so they may not live long enough for their looks to fade. Sad, but true.
