Ready Or Not, Here I Come!

Getting ready to go to London in the morning; I've got my shopping list ready: Polo (spearmint flavour), The Sims 2 and cigarettes (the last one's not for me but I've got bad enough morals to buy them for a friend). I've also configured one of the shortcuts on the mobile to point directly to the currency converter, updated earlier today. I've got my passport, VISA and some change ready, I just have to do the packing and set the timer on the DVD recorder.

Meanwhile, Kommersant, a leading financial newspaper in Russia, published these photos of the terrorists of Beslan; I'm not a squeamish person at all, but this made me really queasy. It reminded me of those photos the Nazis took of their prisoners/slaves.

Current track: The rain on my window.

God tur!!! (Have a nice trip for you english reading people..)

Have fun!!

Ha en knallgod tur, og hils!! :D

Well hello there! About time I discovered another Norwegian who enjoys britcoms! I was beginning to think I was the only one. Anyhoo, I hope you'll have a great time in London. I was there myself in June, though I didn't stay for more than an hour... Which was nice. Anyway, keep up the good work! Brilliant! ;)

Thanks/Takk!

Had a great trip. About britcom-loving Norwegians; I think there's quite a lot of us around (I mean, how else could "Team Antonsen" have been such a big hit?) - but we're spread thinly across the nation and some of us are closet britcom fans. I have, however, managed to "collect" a few of them and made them my best friends. :-)

Well I certainly haven't found anyone around here... Maybe they're all hidden away under a rock somewhere. You certainly have a good taste in tv-shows and movies, I'll definately say that! Keep up the good work ;)

Then you should stick around. :-) And thanks!

Oh I will ;) Btw, are you interested in mystery shows? I've got some Poirot/Morse DVDs I want to get rid of, so if you want any of those, just say the word (the word being wobblywillywoongongbingo).

Hmm..."wobbly willy"...LOL!

Anyway! I'm only looking for one particular episode of Poirot, actually, it's just that I don't remember the name. *rolls her eyes* Morse is rather dull (R.I.P. John Thaw, but you still had a charisma worse than that of a grumpy hamster) although the episode The Wench is Dead is brilliant...and already in my ownership. *a bit more rolling of eyes and some gnashing of teeth there* Thanks anyway!

'The wench is dead' is my favourite Morse episode too! I quite liked 'Masonic mysteries' too, though I dunno if you've seen that one. If you can tell me the plot of the Poirot episode you're looking for, I'm sure I'll find it.. Anyhoo, I hope your neighbour dies in a particulary horrible way with lots of gooey details!

Aww, that's so nice of you; I wish my neighbour all the worst as well! What a coincidence! LOL!

Found the title of the Poirot episode: "The Jewel Robbery at the Grand Metropolitan", I think it's from 1993.

Just my luck, I don't have that one! It's on Play though. Just wondering, do you download any TV shows, or do you just collect them on DVD?

I never! Hmph, the nerve of even suggesting such a thing! *s* Nah, I downloaded an episode of some show a few months ago because I couldn't wait till it premiéred over here...which it did about a month ago, so now I'm not feeling overly guilty. Plus I like owning the originals, especially if they're on DVD with lots of extra material *coughs* Black Books *coughs* and if I like something I quite like to give (some of) my money to the authors/performers. That way they'll keep making good programmes. Hopefully.

Fair enough! I won't ever mention anything like that again then :P I don't suppose you have some IM program so I can bug you without filling up your blog comments?

Well, then you suppose wrong. Drop me a line at the "blog at whichfilmtonight dot com" addy and I'll send you my MSN nick, for instance. (I hate webcrawlers)
