Yeah, Yeah, Get over it
So I don't update my blog for a while. Big deal. Uhmm...hang on, that actually is a big deal. To me, anyway.
I work somewhere where we're allowed to watch telly while working. Yay. Too bad it's mostly sports. Today it's snooker and football and the usual horse racing, of course. I can't be bothered to watch. Much more interested in trying to figure out if I can have another cup of tea before I go home in fifteen minutes' time. Better not. The tube ride home takes about an hour and there is no toilet on there after all (although some may disagree with me on that, at least to the extent that people don't care if there is a legitimate toilet on board or not).
Current track: Nothing; I'm working!

I Just Realised What Date it is
Still not forgetting the Germans invading us back in 1940, and my parents weren't even born back then, so I have a feeling this may not be forgotten in a very long time.
Tomorrow marks the end of my training period at my new company, and hopefully things will go well so that I may be offered a permanent job. My mentor is going on holiday on Wednesday, which means I will be in charge of the Scandinavian helpdesk. Brilliant. Let's mess things up, why don't we! Still, I feel I have learnt and memorised a whole lot over the past few weeks (something which would explain my early nights lately), so I am positive things will work out.
I haven't been able to play Oblivion all week, but this weekend I started playing both Colonization (again) and Final Fantasy IX (for the first time), so I may not get back to that game for another week or so. Easter holiday is apparently uncommon at my new company, not that I'm complaining, as I've had nothing but holiday (AKA unemployment leave) since before Christmas anyway.
At least Green Wing is back. And yes, I know I keep mentioning it, but it's just so bloody good I can't help myself. Yum.

Just Passing by...
...to say nnggh!
I'm tired and my head feels a bit heavy from all the training I've done these past nine days. But soon, I tell you, I will be able to do my job! Yay! Just in time for them to sack me! Darn.
I want to play Oblivion but I think my bed sounds more inviting right now. I just have to watch Medium first. And an episode of lovely, lovely Boston Legal. Yum. Lock and load.
Current track: Nothing.

Heavenly
I forgot to mention: Mmmm...yum. I'm so in love with this show at the moment.
And Green Wing didn't let us down either. I was rolling about on the sofa, laughing. Seven more weeks, yay!

Connection
As I have to spend about one and a half hours one way to and fro work every morning these days, I keep my Zen at hand and have managed to listen to Madonna's newest album five times this week; it has quite clearly become a huge favourite of mine. Pure disco, pure joy.
The connection goes from Madonna via Evita to Philip Quast. According to one of my most important daily visited websites, The PQ Guide, his new film is scheduled to wrap up just in time for him to come home for Easter. OK, so the "home" part is open for discussion as he probably considers Australia to be his real home. Nevertheless, this means the Evita rehearsals will start very soon and I cannot even begin to express how important this piece of news is to me. "Giddy" is the right word, I think.
